Black Point Power Station CCGT Unit D1

Energy Instrastructure

Power Stations and Transmission Assests

Black Point Power Station CCGT Unit D1 – We have managed this multidisciplinery project from Pre-FEED to execution, until project completion.  The project involved the design of power island and an extensive system of underground tunnels for cooling water pipes.

CLP Trenchless Project – This project had ran for over 4 years and has involved over 20 PO’s employing different trenchless techniques, including Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), thrust boring, pipe jacking, Mini-TBM.

Offshore & Marine

Gas and Renewables

We have helped the EPC contractor from bidding stage as the designer team’s Project Director and Manager and work through to completion. This is a first of its type project in HK where we have led the project through Buildings Department approvals.

CLP Hong Kong Offshore Windfarm – we have followed this project at the very beginning of its planning, since the installation of the meteorological mast in 2012.  We have also collaborated with Guangdong Engineering Design Institute (GEDI) to carry out the Preliminary Basic Design including the design for the turbine foundation, the offshore substation and the cabling route.

Consultancy Services for EMSD

New Energy

Renewables and Hydrogen

We have led the team to win and managed some of the first consultancy for hydrogen works in Hong Kong from EMSD.  This includes a study on the Global Development,
Regulation and Safety of
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles (HFCV), Hydrogen Filling Stations (HFS), Supply Methods and Strategies; and another one for the Fuel System of HFCVs and Associated Infrastructures for the HFCV Trial Scheme. Safety guidelines developed from the study were later adopted as the Code of Practice which was rolled out in early 2024.

We are also proactively exploring other technologies to carbon reduction such as carbon capture.  For this we are working with others who have real practical expeiences in the capturing and sequestering carbon into disused oil fields.
